legal questions. The criminal case has, from its peculiar associations, which it is unnecessary for us further to allude to, excited an unusual degree of professional and public interest, and has given rise to much animadversion and discussion in the public and medical journals of the day. This case will, from its peculiar features, take a prominent position among the Causes Celebres of British Criminal Jurisprudence. We will proceed, in the first place, to the consideration of the two civil cases.
